This sandwich was inspired by a recent trip to Paris where the streets are abound with bread, cheese and other delights. It’s a tribute to the simple, delicious eats available at every boulangerie and cafe in one of the world’s most beautiful cities. But don’t be deceived by the simplicity, these ingredients will dance and sing on your tongue. It’s our new favorite sandwich.
- 1 crusty baguette
- ½ pound thinly sliced emmental cheese
- Boston lettuce
- Thinly Sliced tomato
- Slice the baguette in two and put a generous helping of mayonnaise on the inside top of the bread.
- On the bottom, layer the cheese, then tomato and finally the butter lettuce.
- (If you’d like, toast the baguette in the oven at 350 for about 5 minutes before assembling the sandwich for an extra crunch.)
